RESPONSIBILITIES OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR:

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable (LMA) – MMP is structured and organized according to the Entrepreneurial
    Operating System (EOS) explained in the book Traction by Gino Wickman. You can learn more about EOS here:

  • Establishes, maintains and enforces any and all necessary financial policies and procedures
  • Protects the company’s assets by establishing, maintaining and enforcing appropriate internal controls
  • Ensures that all relevant financial data is accurately processed in the company’s financial systems, including
    General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounts Receivable
  • Provides management with timely and accurate monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income
    Statement and Cash Flow reports
  • Works with all company department heads and directly develops the annual financial and KPM budget by month
    with ongoing variance analysis and reforecasts as appropriate
  • Hires, manages, trains and develops staff necessary to support all the above functions as agreed to with
    management.
  • Coordinates any necessary audits, and ensures compliance with industry standards of practice relative to third-
    party reimbursement and auditing triggers. Document and correct all issues that are in direct conflict with
    company policy and/or rules, regulations, and laws governing the practice of pharmacy
  • Audits payroll to ensure it is processed accurately and conforms to all laws and regulations
  • Ensures invoices are paid accurately and in conformance with company policies
  • Interfaces with outside tax experts to ensure all relevant tax filings are prepared and necessary financial information is provided
  • Manages the onsite coordination for IT, including the IT infrastructure and communications systems and equipment
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR:

Bachelor’s degree in business, financial or accountancy
Industry experience a plus (Long term care pharmacy)
8 or more years of experience in managing an accounting function in a medium size company
IT experience preferred
Must have strong work ethics
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and
resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of
accounts and corporate procedures
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on
accuracy and timeliness
Travel: 5% – 10%
